Galway Youth Orchestra was incorporated as a company in 2007. This means that the affairs of GYO are now managed by a seven person board .

Board Members: John Creaven, Denis Kiely, Michael Moroney, Paul Ezergailis, Carmel Garrett .

Previously the running of the orchestra was the responsibility of a Management Committee which comprised 20 people in total.

Within its new corporate structure to provide a role for parents, and to avail of their significant contribution to the operations and future development of GYO a new Parents Council will be established. Elections for the new council will be held in February.
